Riddlesdown
I somehow took the wrong road out of London , and as it was a nice day I just kept going through Brixton, then round Croydon, knowing the road must lead to the M25. But even then I lost the way, and by chance came to a beauty spot called Riddlesdown, where the road came to an end. Here sheep were grazing in a quiet clearing and I sat to watch them for a while.
This far out on the Surrey Downs the dog bins are owned by 'The Corporation of London'. I didn't realise London stretched so far.

Venice

It rained on this boat trip round the outer islands of the Venice Lagoon. When it started raining I suggested we just hopped on the next boat as all the boat trips were circular. This one proved to be the one that wasn't circular, and it took us faraway into unknown territory. We weren't even sure we would get back that night. We did.

The Witney Blanket Story
Up in the museum , there is an exhibition about the Witney Blanket Story. Witney Blankets have a reputation for being warm and cuddly. The last one was made in 2002. There are lots of sample blankets you can hold and cuddle in the children's area.

Milton Heights needs pedestrian crossing on busy road
Issue 3 of People and the Park - The Magazine for Milton Park and Our Neighbours - has an article on the need for a road crossing at Milton Heights.
Residents and daily users of Home Farm Trust at Milton Heights, which caters for 50 adults with learning difficulties, find the busy road a nightmare. It is the only way to get to the bus stop, and the stop itself ias next to a grass verge with no pavement.
One person at Milton Heights was knocked down by a car, and as a result others are now having to go by car, and so had lost the independence of being able to take the bus. There is a petition to ask Oxfordshire County Council to install a pedestrian crossing.
Milton Park business park report that they are supporters of HFT and say they are deeply upset by the situation and are backing HFT's cause. Thank you to them for the picture. All Rights Reserved.
